Jamestown, ND – On Wednesday, July 23, North Dakota Governor John Hoeven helped DuraTech® CEO Jay Grotrian cut the ribbon and officially open the new 20-thousand square foot addition to the DuraTech headquarters in Jamestown, ND. DuraTech Industries, manufacturer of industrial tub grinders and the Haybuster® line of agricultural equipment such as balebusters, tub grinders, vertical mixers and seed drills, will use the new space for engineering and new product development, as well as for shipping and order fulfillment.
After the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony, Governor Hoeven addressed the crowd of employees and local business men and women, praising DuraTech’s continued growth and positive economic impact for the region. While national manufacturing levels have seen a decline of about 20% over the past eight years, North Dakota has achieved a steady 10% increase over that same period thanks in large part to the growing demand for DuraTech products worldwide.
From 2003 to 2007, DuraTech more than doubled its annual sales and produced a total of 1,874 units in 2007 alone. Grotrian said the company invested $2.3 million into the operations and has steadily grown year after year. The new building, which is now the third facility at the DuraTech headquarters, will allow the company to accommodate future growth and meet the global demand for industrial and agricultural equipment.
